Making Arbour Week Count

On 5 September 2025, Team EnviroServ rolled up their sleeves to tackle two pressing challenges: climate resilience and food security. Our initiatives are carefully designed to address the social, environmental, and economic issues affecting communities.

Greening Communities

We planted indigenous trees in areas near our waste management facilities, creating:

• Biodiverse spaces that support local wildlife
• Cleaner air for healthier communities, and
• Green public areas that residents can enjoy

  Tree planting is not just about aesthetics—it is about long-term environmental resilience.

  Strengthening Local Food Systems

  Recognising the link between environmental sustainability and human wellbeing, we partnered with schools participating in the National School Nutrition Programme (NSNP). By planting vegetables such as carrots, cabbages, spinach, peppers, and chillies, we:

• Enhanced the nutritional value of meals for learners
• Supported local food systems
• Promoted healthier lifestyles in underprivileged communities

With over nine million learners benefiting daily, every seed planted contributes to a stronger, healthier future.

Partnerships that Amplify Impact

Our efforts were strengthened by the support of local partners, including Fibre Circle, Zwartkops Conservancy, and Vutwa Waste Services. Together, we demonstrated that collaboration is key to sustainable change.
