Community in Action: Supporting the Rebuild of NSRI Hout Bay

That’s why we’re proud to contribute to the rebuilding of the NSRI Hout Bay rescue station, a critical lifeline in one of South Africa’s busiest marine zones.

In a powerful display of community spirit, this project is being driven entirely by donated services from companies committed to making a difference.

Demolition officially began on 8 July 2025, with the first step being the safe removal of the asbestos roof by a customer. EnviroServ is managing the responsible transportation and disposal of waste materials at our Vissershok Waste Management Facility, ensuring full compliance with environmental regulations and the highest safety standards.

This marks the beginning of an exciting transformation. The new NSRI facility will soon house a state-of-the-art 14.8-metre Offshore Rescue Craft, currently under construction by Two Oceans Marine. Scheduled for arrival in June 2026, this vessel is expected to significantly enhance operational capacity and safety in unpredictable sea conditions.
