Celebrating Success: A Transformational Journey of Investment in Education

On 13 January 2025, the Department of Basic Education in South Africa announced the highly anticipated 2024 Matric results, and we are thrilled to celebrate the success of Vulumzi Secondary School in the Eastern Cape, one of the schools supported by EnviroServ.

With an outstanding 98.3% Matric pass rate, the school has achieved remarkable progress! This is a major leap from when we first partnered with Vulumzi, whose pass rate was just above 60%. Even last year, the school had already shown impressive strides, securing an 86.6% pass rate.

At EnviroServ, we are deeply committed to the power of education to unlock potential and change lives. This belief led us to adopt Vulumzi Secondary School several years ago, where we began with impactful infrastructure projects, including building and renovating ablution facilities to create a better learning environment.

The incredible improvement in Vulumzi’s Matric results is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and collaboration of the educators, parents, and learners. We are incredibly proud to have played a part in their success story.

A special thank you to Mr. Fina, the principal, whose leadership and unwavering commitment have played a pivotal role in shaping a brighter future for these students. It’s also worth noting that out of the 10 high schools in Motherwell, Vulumzi ranked second — an extraordinary achievement!
