“A healthy community because of sport is a happy community. This event has a potential to create a safe community and fun for everyone,” said Ward 59 Councillor Bulelani Matenjwa.

EnviroServ’s Community Liaison Officer Zingisa Mabangula was proud to see youth and adults taking part in the fun run. “We are very proud of Vulumzi because they have grown from strength to strength”. Mabangula participated in the run and came 3rd is her category. The crowd cheered her on as she headed for the finish line.

Fina thanked EnviroServ for our support. “We look forward to making our fun run a major event next time. I would like to thank EnviroServ for making our annual programme an event of huge magnitude,” he said.

EnviroServ Operations Manager Sue Alcock commented that sport would help instil discipline for the learners.
