EnviroServ joins Organics Recycling Association of South Africa

EnviroServ has joined the Organics Recycling Association of South Africa (ORASA) as they attempt to unite and grow the country’s organics recycling industry.

The organisation believes that to make recycling work, separation at source is required. This is what EnviroServ helps our many On-Site customers do. In this way the quality of the waste streams and their value can be preserved.

Recycling organics entails extracting energy and recovering nutrients from previously discarded materials. Solutions include composting, anaerobic digestion and organic waste transport.

Organic material does not belong in a landfill, it belongs in a continuous cycle of growth and decay with all its nutrients being reused as nature intended. Food scraps, paper, garden trimmings and wood, which end up in landfill, are all compostable materials – the building blocks of life.

EnviroServ is proud to join ORASA’s mission to champion the recycling of all organics through different mechanisms in South Africa.
