On 27 June 2025, EnviroServ Uganda was honoured with the Best Waste Management Facility award at the 2nd National Environment Sustainability Awards, hosted by the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA). This prestigious recognition celebrates leadership in environmental stewardship and sustainable development in Uganda.
EnviroServ was shortlisted alongside some of the most respected players in the industry – making this win even more meaningful for the company. Dean Thompson, EnviroServ CEO, says this is a testament to the unwavering commitment, innovation, and hard work of the EnviroServ Uganda team, as well as the ongoing support from the broader EnviroServ Group.
The black-tie event brought together influential leaders from across key sectors — including oil and gas, finance, regulatory bodies, government agencies, and even the United Nations — all united by a shared mission: building a sustainable future for Uganda and beyond.
"This recognition by NEMA is not just an award — it's a validation of what we do every day to promote responsible waste management and circular economy solutions across Uganda," said EnviroServ Uganda’s Country Manager, Frederic Vigier.
"We extend heartfelt congratulations to our team in Uganda and to everyone working tirelessly behind the scenes to make this milestone possible.
This award strengthens our resolve to continue pushing boundaries in sustainable waste management — and to remain a trusted partner in Uganda's environmental journey," said EnviroServ’s CEO, Dean Thompson.
