registration is awaiting authorisation. You will be
sent a second email upon approval of your
registration. This will contain a unique registration
number, a username and password, which may be
used to log onto the website to update or amend
information as and when required.

These regulations don’t apply if you only
generate general waste.

What happens if
I don’t register?
The new legislation act stipulates that
all waste generators must apply to the
DEA registration. Failing to comply or
providing incorrect/misleading
information, if convicted, will result in:
a) imprisonment for a period not
exceeding fifteen (15) years;
b) an appropriate fine; or
c) both a fine and
imprisonment.
