FLUORESCENT TUBE RECYCLING
Fluorescent tubes, compact fluorescent lamps and other energy efficient lighting contain mercury, and thus need to be handled and recycled according to legislative
requirements. To ensure that lighting waste is not disposed of at a landfill, EnviroServ provides its customers with lamp boxes and /or bins which are emptied regularly and replaced if required.
OIL WATER SEPARATION
EnviroServ’s solution for oil contaminated water provides customers with environmental peace of mind that their effluent is treated by suitably licensed and compliant facilities in a way
that will prevent pollution and protect the environment. EnviroServ - a member of the National Oil Recycling Association of South Africa (NORA-SA) – will assess oil contaminated water for recycling and transport it safely to
the Oil Separation Plant for treatment in a state-of-the-art ultra-filtration membrane plant to recover the hydrocarbon.
DEWATERING SYSTEM REDUCES WASTE, TRANSPORT AND DISPOSAL COSTS
An effective, continuous dewatering system for a broad array of slurries that generates a dry filter cakes with moisture contents as low as 25%, with the
added benefit of reducing liquids to landfill, saving on disposal and transport costs, and in an environmentally responsible manner.
COMPOSTING
Composting is one such alternative waste treatment which EnviroServ offers to numerous customers. It is the perfect environmentally friendly alternative to reduce the volume of waste disposed to landfill.
It limits the further generation of leachate in the landfill environment and improves the quality of leachate should it be generated. EnviroServ has taken the initiative to compost certain waste streams currently going into landfills.
Compost is sold directly to end-users or to other compost companies for further processing.
WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANTS
Treatment plants are available in a range of sizes from 1.1 to 10kL per day. For the treatment of domestic waste water we propose a low energy biological treatment process. The treatment
plant comprises existing solids interceptor, flow balancing and one multi-media biological (SOG) filter. Treated effluent can be re-used in a sustainable manner. The treatment process we favour is briefly described below.
USED OIL
EnviroServ is committed to the prevention of pollution from unsafe or illegal disposal of used oil. As a member of the National Oil Recycling Association of South Africa (NORA-SA) EnviroServ will manage the
safe and compliant collection, transportation and recycling of used oil to ensure that customers’ used oil is disposed in an environmentally responsible way.
