Landfill management refers to the processes involved in the planning, design,
operation, closure and post closure of landfill sites otherwise known as waste
treatment and disposal facilities. It further includes the monitoring of incoming
waste streams, placement and compaction of waste, environmental monitoring
and continuous control measures.
