Asbestos Removal in the DRC
|
Something always happen at EnviroServ which proves that any vision is attainable if consciously followed through. Now more than ever before we believe the world can be a much cleaner place and that our environment can be unloaded of all the waste it is burdened with.
The DRC authorities have appointed EnviroServ Hazmat Services to remove asbestos in that country. We enthusiastically took on the challenge and this will be a first of a 15 phase project.

| Asbestos is a fire-resistant mineral used for insulation and home products that has been found to pose a health hazard and we are taking well crafted measures to prevent any exposure to the people who have just been through ravaging wars.. |

The team of twenty will consist of a full time paramedic, a safety and security manager, a mechanic, a camp foreman, cleaners and cooks.Furthermore, the crew will have the support of an off-site management structure that is to aid with finances and contract management. |

Challenges facing DRC are many; there are hideous roads on which our team has to travel, access to food is near impossible ;and clean water and fuel are scarce luxuries. |
The determined team left in early November risking their lives as safety and security are still a major challenge in that country.
All is not lost though as provisions have been made to ensure that the Team’s stay is as bearable as possible. The Crew will stay in renovated containers and will have access to a kitchen, an office, washing facilities, water purification plant and a workshop.
The team is wished a successful venture and we hope that this is motivation enough for all at EnviroServ to go into new and far out territories in an effort to give peace of mind to our clients regarding their waste concerns. |
